fresh: "Skyfall" (Cosmic Dawn v. MAJR edit) - Adele

Ol' tons-o'-fun Adele returns here with her contribution to a tradition even more British than she is... Skyfall for the latest 007 film.  To be honest, I could care less about James Bond, and I've never thought of any single one of his versions as attractive, nor do I fall over for his apparently suave nature.  Give me Frodo with hairy feet, ugly friends, and old gay wizards any day.

In any case, Cosmic Dawn is one of the most superb producers out there, and once again the Scandinavian sorcerer of synth returns with a dance remix of a track no one else had yet to conquer for the clubs.  And, now that's over.  So, I edited it to my liking, and the rest is history.  It might not be a straight-up crazy Pound the Alarm-esque bloop-blip-bloop-blip-bloop status quo track- but that's why I enjoy it.  It brings a splash of retro trance into the mix in all the right ways.  Not really Tïesto or AVB-style, but more Paul Van Dyk (IMO the king of trance-dance).

So, that's that.  Enjoy the delightfully chunky chanteuse haunting away your dreams until you dance your way into a midnight snack with her:

remix monday: adele sets fire to the dancefloor

God bless that big girl, Adele. She is slowly taking over Remix Mondays. So, this remix starts really slowly, but when it hits, OH LORD does it hit! I adore it. I am not even that big of a fan of this track (::dodges rocks::), but this remix really does explode all over your ear like ill-timed teenage fellatio. Hooray! Enjoy!

Someone Like You (Buffetlibre remix) - Adele

Ummm... just. plain. fantfuckingtastic. Buffetlibre has done it again. AGAIN! Oh, I love them. And, Adele, bless her cholesterolic heart... that bitch can make you cry. And, in this case, dance as well.

Time to cut a rug AND YOUR WRISTS! Hooray!

remix monday: big gurl gets angry (adele rmx edit)

There's not much else to say. The original is fucking sassy as hell, and really a great track in its own right. The RASCAL remix needed to be edited, and I did it. Here ya go! It's not perfect, but it'll make your ass dance. And that's what matters. Hell to the Yes.

remix monday: adele unleashed (2 new remixes)

This remix is pretty amazing. It's nothing but dance. No filler, no nothin'. Just straight-up club dance with so much wonderful fluff that it could insulate an attic. Adele is truly a wonderful talent, and I sometimes forget that she's only 22. I love it and can't help but want to cry and dance simultaneously while it's in my headphones. You know you're intrigued.

Secondly, we have this one that needed a little editing, so I did my best...
The product is what I would call dance-lounge music.
It may even be good for the early part of club nights. Enjoy!

3 tracks: songs you WILL HEAR tomorrow!

Here are three edits of three songs I LOVE! You will definitely hear these SHIFT-favorites tomorrow at our 2-year anniversary! I'm so excited!

fresh: NEW ADELE ALBUM!

So, I have had a chance to listen to the new Adele album a few times through... it's pretty great. I CANNOT get Rumor Has It out of my head! Here you go, for a limited time only:

remix monday: adele gets danceable

Keljet, who did a hell of a remix of Any Which Way, by Scissor Sisters, returns to make a gem out of this Adele track. Definitely check this one out. I love it, and it has definitely made me like Adele a great deal more. Sing it out, woman! God I dig this track... I don't know why, either. I figure maybe it makes the deeply-rooted soulful angry bitch inside me bawl out like a retarded siren.

The song, by the way, Rolling In The Deep, is the first single off Adele's new album, 21, which hits stores February 22, 2011. I think it might just be great. Who knows? I don't really care... I just love this remix. Big THUMBS UP to Keljet. This is the second remix I've heard by Keljet... and the 2nd one I love. Kudos y'all! All I really know about Keljet is that it's a duo from Nijmegen, Netherlands, who create some proper shit. Hooray REMIX MONDAY!
