"Goodness Gracious" (The Chainsmokers remix) - ELLIE GOULDING

Probably my favorite track of Ellie Goudling's gets remixed by the promising Chainsmokers.  Check it out:

"Silhouette" - Active Child ft. Ellie Goulding

Absolutely GORGEOUS.  Just exactly what I needed tonight and I'm so happy I stumbled across it.  Ellie Goulding is superb as always and Active Child made the perfect lullaby.

Check it out.

weekenditty: "I Need Your Love (MAJR club edit)" - Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding

Calvin Harris has done it again.  He isn't going to blow you away, as far as production, but his ability to create danceable electro-house is second-to-none in the current musical environment.  He's just the best, right now.  So, when Ellie Goulding's new album Halcyon dropped on Tuesday, I swooped in and grabbed what is sure to be the next track to storm the club Bastille: a collaboration titled I Need Your Love with Mr. Harris (LIP MY STOCKING!).
I desperately wanted to play it live, so I put it in MAJR studio magic box of eargasmic tinkerings, and manipulated it.  I took out some filler, sped it up to a proper house bpm, added an intro and outro loop, and borrowed a dub from another extended Harris mix.  This will do until the actual extended is released... and it might not even have to be replaced.  Woot.

Here's to a LOVEly weekend.

three track thursdays - RAC remixes (Foster The People, Ellie Goulding, Sunday Girl)

RAC consistently produces great remixes. Solid stuff, always. They may not always be the most explosive or danceable mixes, but they are solid for the workday, that's for sure. Want more evidence? Just click on the "RAC" tag above.

Ellie covers The Knife

...and I love it. Though, I admit I love the original even more, this cover is just what I needed the last few days. Her vulnerable vocals are always welcome.
If you want to hear one of my favorite songs of the last few years, here's the original:

random: deradoorian & ellie goulding remixes

Here are two tracks that I can't help but post right now. They have been haunting me recently, and I'm happy to spread the spirit. Make what you will of them- I won't drown your perspective with mine this time. I will say they are exactly what I needed: ambient, relaxing, and the harmonic remedy to my currently cacophonous life.
