I have had this track for a while now - possibly 2 months - and keep forgetting to post it. It's a nu disco track by Jessica 6 called White Horse. It comes off immediately as a bit retro-corny, but then after a few listens it becomes really catchy, while the soulfulness becomes sonorous. I'm a big fan and have been playing it on the regular at my Tuesday RESIDENCY at Cobalt. Come by and say hi from 9p-1a on Tuesday (spinning in the lounge area).
Jessica 6's soulful debut album, See The Light, drops in May. Also check out the (pretty great, actually) video below. I especially love the lead vocalist's amazing body and drag queen cheekbones.
