Today's Remix Monday focuses on one of the best electrofunk duos to ever exist, Montreal's Chromeo. Always dance-heavy, often oversexed, and usually in the cleverest of poor tastes, Chromeo is a favorite of mine on the dancefloor. Rarely, though, are they remixed properly (sad, but true). Here are some exceptions:Here are my favorite three remixes of Chromeo tracks. One is Night by Night, the first single off their upcoming LP Business Casual. This track has long been leaked, but has finally become the danceable track it should be. Next, we have two tracks from their last album (Fancy Footwork), Tenderoni and Bonafide Lovin'. Both are remix gems that you should already own. I first heard the former a few years back when it was released with the single. MSTRKRFT definitely puts their print on this one, with a heavy balance of guitar and distorted synth. The same goes for the often unstoppable LA Riots on the latter track, as they consistently remix songs into a heavy 128/130 bpm.
