"F for You" (MAJR club edit) - DISCLOSURE ft. MARY J. BLIGE

Earlier this week, Disclosure decided to drop a version of their track 'F for You' with the venerable, drama-less Mary J. Blige... and the world rejoiced.  Think about it: Disclosure + Mary J. Blige... that really does just about cover everyone, doesn't it?  In any case, I took it and beefed the track up a bit.  I mixed a fun, semi-complex layered intro, added a more interesting (though hardly noticeable) outro (both to make it more mixable for DJs), sped it up to 130 (from 124), fixed the pitch, deleted a few lull-points that would kill the dance floor and basically made it a splash more fabulous through multiple other forms of witchcraft.  Enjoy:

"Blue Moon" - BECK

Beck returns with a sonorous folk-driven ethereal sound that few artists can pull off well.  The new album - Morning Phase - is now available for pre-order and drops February 25.  As usual, I'm excited to see what else he does on the album.  This is a man who has time and time again been a beacon of creativity and changed the landscape of pop hooks.  What kills me in this song is the little guitar at 3:01 that is somehow beautiful, sad and optimistic all at once.  Well done, sir.

The gorgeous and eloquent Lily Allen returns with the second single from her pending third LP and she does it in a way you'd expect after such a cutting and aggressive first single: lite, fluffy and delicious.  I'm definitely a fan.  I can't wait to see what the rest of the album sounds like:

"Let Go for Tonight" (Kat Krazy remix) + Album Cut Video - FOXES

For those of you who are following the sneaky rise of star-to-be Foxes, one of my favorite producers - KAT KRAZY - has remixed her 2012 (now reworked for 2014) track "Let Go for Tonight."  Many people unfamiliar with Foxes may recognize her voice as the one in that Zedd track "Clarity," which was played ad nauseam all damned year and still needs to die.

The track has been reworked for her debut album - 'Glorious' - which is due out in March.  Check it out below (both the new and older version).
